Android guide to setup Tesco mail

1 Open your Email application from the menu, add a new account and choose 'Other'.

If you do not have an account yet, you can start setting up right away. Otherwise, open 'Settings' in the email app and choose 'Add account'.

2 In the next screen enter your account details and click on 'Login':

Email: your Tesco email address
Password: your Tesco email password

3 Choose pop3 and enter the following details under 'Server incoming mail':

pop3 server: mail.tesco.net
Security type: none
Port: 110

4 Your account is now ready to use.

Congratulations, your account is now set up. Open the email app on your smartphone to use your email.

  • I have successfully added tesco to my android mobile phone. It receives E-Mail and I can connect to Google and the internet. But I cannot send an E-Mail the message goes to outbox and if retrieved indicates it is a draft. My BT account does the same but my hotmail works well. I can send E-Mail from my tesco account on my laptop and my toer fixed computer. What am I doing wrong. I have set the outgoing port to 25 together with the other settings in this very helpfull page.

  • Despite having reset my email password again, I still get the message when I try to send emails that I have entered the wrong password. The password that I am using is Aftereight8. Please advise

  • Android, 4.4 HTC 820S. I had my email working okay but I've reset the phone and can't add back the Tesco email account. I get a message at the end point - Couldn't finish - Can't connect to server (550.5.7.1 [C18] RBL restriction: Blacklisted by Internal Reputaton Service - 171.96.184.86). Any advice on how I can resolve?
